At Wellness with a Goal we’re passionate about the power of self-help – or as we like to think of it, self-empowerment. We’d like to invite you to empower yourself in the same way, putting tools such as the Wellness Library at your disposal so that might not only become more knowledgeable, but also develop a deeper understanding of your wellbeing and experiences.
But Wellness, you exclaim, no one reads books anymore! Don’t worry my vocal visitor, we offer plenty of learning resources outside the confines of a book. Our resident android Paul can teach you practical IT skills, and we also run a monthly quiz for those who want to show off their new-found knowledge nuggets in a totally humble way.
Our Wellness Library features what we believe are the very best wellbeing books on the market.
Our clients can borrow books from our library free of charge for up to three weeks at a time, renewing them up to three times.
Our Wellness Library is inspired by the Reading Well Books on Prescription Scheme. This scheme has strong evidence suggesting that self-help reading can help people with common mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.
Our library themes include mindfulness, practical philosophy, emotional intelligence and self-help techniques based upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). All are based on the wellbeing model of mental health.
