Perhaps one day we’ll know everything there is to know about the human brain.
We’ll understand exactly why we have certain thoughts or why we behave in a certain way, and there might even be flying cars.
Until that bright day comes, Wellness with a Goal will be here to offer Wellness Coaching. As the name suggests, Wellness Coaching is between you and our Wellness Coach – no groups, no pressure. We give you the chance to discuss any problems you might be having in a safe and confidential environment, and once you begin to overcome those problems (because you can overcome them) we can begin to think about your hopes for the future (remember: brighter days are ahead).
The majority of our staff at Wellness with a Goal have experience of mental health difficulties such as stress and anxiety; we’ve been there, and we know how it feels. Our situation will not be identical to yours, but we can empathise and have a shared understanding with you.
All we need from you is a phone call. We know that depression or anxiety can make it difficult to leave the house, so we conduct sessions over the phone as well as in person. We understand that mental distress can come from anywhere – benefits issues, stress at work, childhood trauma to name but a few. Your reasons might be a mystery to you, but it doesn’t matter as our service is centred on you and your individual needs.
What can Wellness Coaching do for you?
Our coaches can help you to understand your emotions, to identify possible causes and explore their consequences. Depression or anxiety might seem insurmountable, but when you’ve developed an understanding of your issues you can then begin to challenge them.
Once you begin to manage your issues you can begin to think about the future. What do you want to achieve? How will you get there? Wellness with a Goal can collaborate with you to shape meaningful answers to these questions.
Wellness Coaching can involve:
- Supporting you to realise your goals and ambitions
- Supporting you to both maintain and enhance your general wellbeing
- Supporting you to understand yourself and your problems better
- Helping you to deal with feelings of low mood and anxiety
- Helping you decide which of our services may be the most beneficial for you through a discussion of your goals, aspirations and individual needs
- Guiding you to local services and agencies to help you achieve your goals
- Supporting you to cope with redundancy, work-related stress, bereavement or a relationship breakdown
Our clients have reported less stress, better sleep, greater job satisfaction and greater life satisfaction in general. Coaching might be daunting – new things often are – but we have a proven track record of improving lives and giving people a better chance of achieving their goals.
How to get involved
